Final Stats: For Cycling Nuts and Other Interested Geeks

Campanario at San Miguel
This post will wrap up my trip for now.  I may work on some mapping and directions, so those who are interested could retrace my routes.  But for now, I am content to report the distances and times day by day.

Note that the times are actual cycling time--that is, when the pedals are spinning.  It does not count breaks, rest stops, traffic lights, stop signs and moments of lost-ness (of which there were several).  Regardless of my actual speed, I have come to believe that, for me, I could plan on 10 miles in an hour; a 45 mile day would mean about four and a half hours of biking, minus any significant meal breaks or sightseeing stops.  That seems to work well for planning, anyway.  Of course, the terrain makes a big difference; mountains do tend to slow one down a bit.
